In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the East Lansing Arts Festival, (SCENE) Metrospace will be hosting an exhibition of the festival's poster art. Past city purchases also to be featured in this exhibtion. March 1st-April 13th. Opening reception: Friday, March 1st, 6-9 p.m., free.

Residuum: an exhibition focusing on the theme of memory; guest curated by Calvin College assistant professor of painting, Mandy Cano Villalobos; featuring Ann Chuchvara, Liz McCarthy, Soo Shin, Katie Short, Mandy Cano Villalobos; April 19th-June 23rd. Opening reception: Friday, April 19th, 6-9 p.m., free.

4th Culture at (SCENE): (SCENE) Metrospace is pleased to be featuring work from the 4th Culture art studios. 4th Culture Studios provides working space for artists in Lansing. It is a place to create and collaborate, and a place for artists to incubate and discover their vision while getting immediate feedback from peers.  There are thirteen individual studios ranging in size, and common areas that include a wood shop, kiln and additional working space. The studio currently has sixteen artists of various ages, interests and backgrounds and as such becomes an informal mentoring environment where everyone benefits through shared experience and common goals. Exhibition to include local artists Ben Duke, Stephanie Palagyi and others. July 12th-August 18th. Opening reception: Friday, July 12th, 6-9 p.m., free.

Penetrating the American Psyche: featuring Amy Guidry of Lafayette, Louisiana, Teresa Petersen of Detroit, Michigan, and Peter Richards, Valentin Pulido, Jefferson Kielwagen, Philip Brun Del Re and Ethan Tate, of East Lansing and Lansing, Michigan; conceptual photography, objects and painting. September 6th-October 20th. Opening reception: Friday, September 6th, 6-9 p.m., free.

Featuring Neva Sills of Chicago, Casey Jex of Columbus, Jacob Christmas of Boston, Travis Head of Blacksberg, VA, Gabriel Embeha of Detroit, and local artists Caroline Caswell, Michelle Word, Laney Dumdei, Jacque Sullivan, Elise Toups, Ryan Groendyk, Holly Johnson, Kim Turner and Britta Urness. November 1st-December 15th. Opening reception: Friday, November 1st, 6-9 p.m., free.
