Diane Wakoski Tribute



On Thursday, May 12th, at 7:00 p.m, (SCENE) Metrospace will host a tribute poetry reading for distinguished Michigan State University professor and poet-in-residence, Diane Wakoski. The event is free and open to the public.

Diane Wakoski has been the Michigan State University poet-in-residence since 1975. She is the author of over forty volumes of poetry, including her most recent collection, The Diamond Dog, published in 2010 by Anhinga Press.

Featured readers at the tribute will include the poets Heather Abner, MJ Arredondo, Geoffrey Bankowski, boog, Courtney Chapin, Kierstyn Lamour, Tim Lane, Ruth Mowry, Carrie Preston, Sarah Sword, and Angela Vasquez-Giroux.

The event will culminate with poems read by Diane Wakoski.

This event, which is free and open to the public, has been graciously sponsored by the Michigan State University English Department.
