PLACE IN PROXIMITY A Call for Artworks by Artists currently living and making art in the states of Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio.

Place in Proximity launches a new collaboration between Michigan State University and the City of East Lansing, MI with (SCENE) Metrospace, an urban gallery in East Lansing, MI. Place in Proximity is a call for work made by artists living in the states of Michigan, Illinois, Indiana and Ohio. This exhibition will juxtapose themes, qualities, and mannerisms of contemporary art from within our surrounding geographical region. To highlight what is happening right now in our region and allow us to examine how it relates to the broader contemporary art world.

This exhibition welcomes work of all types and styles to be considered. This call is open to everyone 18 years or older and is open to all media. Submissions can range from traditional to conceptual. The only required criteria for entry is that works must be made by visual artists currently residing in the states of Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio.
