Mark Kroos, Zack Bower, Tim Hayes

Acoustic guitarist, Mark Kroos, will be performing at (SCENE) Metrospace in East Lansing on Saturday, July 17th, with folk musician, Zack Bower, and classical guitarist, Tim Hayes. Doors at 8:00; music by 9:00. $5

Mark plays solo instrumental acoustic guitar, often on two guitar necks at the same time with a tapping technique that involves both hands fretting the strings. It creates a very tranquil style that is as entertaining to watch as it is to listen to. He draws influence from other guitarists in his style, such as Michael Hedges and Andy Mckee, but also from a number of punk rock/indie bands, such as the Lawrence Arms, Modest Mouse and the Weakerthans.
