(SCENE) presents THE LOVE SHOW: A MELODIC FROLIC Winter Jazz Concert, Saturday December 15

Saturday, December 15
8:00 PM
[doors at 7:00]

DeShaun Snead,
a jazz vocalist now attending Michigan State for Jazz Studies, calls this “The Love Show: A Melodic Frolic” to reflect her strong belief in the power of music to communicate love to an audience of strangers in a most intimate way. She has a Bachelor's of Arts from Oberlin College in African American Studies. DeShaun's stage presence is striking as is her ability to improvise. She currently sings with MSU's Vocal Jazz Ensemble I. Appearing with Snead will be guitarist Joe Gloss. Joe has performed with Organissimo since 2000. Natalie Galey will also be a featured vocalist. Her sultry style and smooth, rich voice are amazing to hear. Galey has performed at Lincoln Center in New York and shared the stage with the likes of Rodney Whittaker. Natalie also sings with DeShaun in MSU's Vocal Jazz Ensemble I. Dave Rosin will be featured on bass. He has played with the Fred Knapp Trio and has great chemistry with Joe on the bandstand. Join us for this pre-Holiday showcase in an intimate setting. Early arrival is encouraged, as space is limited.
