Friday, September 21st, (SCENE) Metrospace presents Breathe Owl Breathe with special guests, Gifts or Creatures!
Show at 8 p.m. Admission $12 at the door.
Michigan band Breathe Owl Breathe consists of printmaker Micah Middaugh, cellist Andréa Moreno‐Beals, and geographer Trevor Hobbs. The trio has a knack for wrapping universal emotions in childlike language. Having recently toured nationally as the opening act for Yann Tiersen (“Amelie” Soundtrack), Breathe Owl Breathe is currently touring in support their latest project, a children’s book and included 7” record entitled “The Listeners / These Train Tracks.”
Longtime friends and East Lansing locals, Gifts or Creatures, will open. Creatures is the musical pursuit of husband and wife duo Brandon John and Bethany Foote. The couple fuses a blend of Midwestern folklore, old world history and cinematic soundscapes to create a conglomeration of antique Americana.
