Doug Mains & the City Folk Album Release Concert



On Saturday, February 18th, Doug Mains and the City Folk will release their first full-length CD, The Mountain's King, at (SCENE) Metrospace. Concert includes The Saw Had Eyes that Sea, Nathan Alan, and Kyle Nelson Pentecost.

Doug Mains and the City Folk features Doug Mains, Kelly Pond, Eli Bender and Mike Kates. Bearing an appealing twist on modern folk music and a passion in their hearts, the group is able to easily catch the ears of many with their gripping two- to four-part harmonies and breath-taking use of stringed instruments that truly give breath and life to every individual song. Kyle Pentecost started performing multiple times per week at every open mic in Lansing. Since then, he has played at (SCENE) Metrospace, the Basement 414, in addition to hosting a successful benefit for the Nyaka Aids Project at Gone Wired. Pentecost regularly performs once a month at Wanderer's Teahouse in East Lansing and hosts an open mic at Espresso Royale every other week.
