Drawing Marathon/Exhibition Reception this Thursday @ (SCENE) Metrospace!!!

The reception for our current exhibits, "Raw Materials" and "Skins," begins at 6:00 P.M., this Thursday, September 22nd. The evening Drawing Marathon activities begin at 7:00 P.M.

The MSU Art Department's 5th annual DRAWING MARATHON takes place on Thursday, September 22nd. Held just outside the Kresge Art Center from 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, the marathon includes mural boards for collaborative drawing as well as costumed models in rotation throughout the day.

In the evening, the events will extend to Scene Metrospace Gallery in East Lansing, where two drawing shows are on view. Beyond the exhibition receptions, drawing activities will continue. These activities include an experimental interactive performance by Department of Theater students based in movement and composition that blurs the line between performer and audience, artist and subject.

We provide water (and snacks at the Scene Metrospace portion of the event), sunscreen, drawing materials, and paper. The event is free and open to the public...all you need to do is come prepared to draw!
