Cassie Poe is a Detroit poet and mom. Over the years she has worn many hats including host, slam poet, teacher, coach, event coordinator and many others. She was a member of the 2003, 2004 and 2005 Detroit Slam Team, Slammaster and coach for the 2006 and 2008 Detroit ByteThis team and is proud to continue as Slammaster for 2009. Cassie was also one of the co-chairs for the annual Women of the World Poetry Slam that was held in Detroit during March of 2008 & 2009. Currently she serves as Secretary on the Executive Committee for Poetry Slam, Inc. and is working on her first piece of fiction.
